of lucid dreams

my dreams have been getting slightly creepier by the month.

but it's always the same. i always can't make out the figure, and i always wake up before i see the face, and i always know right there and then that i'm dreaming and force myself to wake up.

yesterday's one was scarier compared to the rest. i was always in control of the situation, knowing that something was out there, and if i grabbed it i would see it. i dreamt about baby ghosts, ghosts around me but i always knew that i was in control.

yesterday's nightmare though, had me struggling to get a hold as a black figure came out of nowhere in my room (as i was sleeping in the exact same position) and strangled me.

i knew instantly it was a dream and fought to wake up (grabbing his hand and forcing him to let go) and when i did, it was barely 10 minutes after i've gone to bed.

it seemed so real.

=_=

i called jean and talked to her for a good half an hour before i calmed down and went back to sleep, clutching a fu in my fists so hard that when i woke up in the morning, my fingers hurt

perhentian island

at times like these i miss perhentian.

i never quite properly talked about our trip. i'm almost grateful that there are no proper roads at all on the island, and if you wanted to get to another beach you had to hike your way there or rent a speedboat. i'm grateful for the peaceful giant windmills at the top of the hill which gave way to a magnificent view.

hill perhentian island

ignore the fuckthishillissosteep look in my eyes. i could really use some guiness then because it was hot as hell. oh ning got me that shirt :P and my shorts were from my old jeans which i tore apart with a pair of scissors.

good view perhentian island

despite bitching about the journey for a long long time, the next day i went back up there by myself along with czeeyong's friend for company. i sat here, and looked upon this view for about an hour

i got to see a turtle really really up close, and even though i was up to my throat in near-vomit because of the bad weather, i'm glad i made the decision to jump into the ocean and chase mr.crush. the guides were super nice (maybe because i was probably the only malaysian girl at the resort and possibly the entire Long Beach) and personally dragged me over where the turtle was swimming away, quite oblivious to the specks of boats teeming with tourists at the surface. i could go on and on, but i never saw a turtle THAT BIG in real life before.. so it was really really awesome >.<

crush perhentian island

It was probably as wide as my arms ^^ One of czeeyong's friend had a camera which could work underwater so there were plenty of underwater shots. The guide borrowed his camera and dived down to the bottom of the ocean where he snapped this shot.

lee1 perhentian island

This is Lee, my favourite guide and the person who showed me the turtles! Also the person who would talk to me whenever czeeyong wasn't around =p I think this shot is so glamour

In the late afternoons, I usually laze on the beach with a book or float on my back in the sea, and at night, we lay on our backs and looked up at the stars.

stars perhentian island

the stars are really pretty :D and if you are really patient, you can catch some shooting stars but they whizz by really fast if you're not paying attention. i didn't see any, but czeeyong and his friends saw a few during the whole trip

shisha perhentian island

on one of the nights, pigs flew because czeeyong took me for some shisha (who'd have thought it possible) at a bar nearby on the beach. we were all baked by then. guy on the furthest left is one of the guides in the resort. lee passed out a few minutes later on the same mat because of alcohol overdose aha.

nemo perhentian island

whilst snorkelling, we bumped into nemo! and his family. they were really really really tiny, and really cute.

haha funny perhentian island

this haha so funny pinch of the cheeks is czeeyong's favourite hobby

sunset perhentian island

i snapped this picture of the sunset at the other side of the island using czeeyong's friend's camera. it was pretty hot but i think the sunset was worth it.

can i please please go back there now..

The day I crashed my car.

Tuesday night.

Since I was being really good (studies have shown that there is a strong correlation between the number of times we go out to eat and the number of times i help czeeyong out at home - in other words, will work for food nomnomnom), czeeyong decided to take me out to eat for dinner.

housework The day I crashed my car.

Correlation between chances of having dinner outside and the amount of housework that i do : D

Bored with our usual places, we decided to round a corner of Taipan that we normally do not go. We found this noodle house that sold yummy wonton noodles along with really awesome egg tarts and siewpao : D After dinner, I happily bought some egg tarts and couldn't wait to sink my teeth in them (greedy).

Around the bend, there were many many many cars on the main road, while we were waiting to cross to the other side. As czeeyong slowly crossed the road, I looked to the right and there was a speeding car. I shouted at him to brake, and he did, but it was too late. There was a splitting sound of metal against metal as the car rammed into mine at the front right edge.

It was a whole bunch of headache-inducing moments after that. The police report, the worry about parents' reaction, our wonderful policemen that make up Malaysia, the wonderful woman's relatives, the lack of faith in our police system, etc. etc.

I think I'm just glad that czeeyong managed to brake in time (in time here meaning not in the vital spot) and wasn't a few more feet in front, or else the woman would have crashed into the driver's seat. Who knows what could have happened then...

Oh please beware of this car Bgc 9303 (you can buy 4d if you want to). She doesn't brake when she sees cars crossing the road. Instead, she speeds up so that they won't be able to cross. While it may be our fault because of the current road laws, maybe she will think twice before speeding next time in a housing area.

The egg tarts were still yummy, by the way.

Funny tales

my 4th uncle is super cute (winnie, your daddy).

he called czeeyong and asked him whether he could teach my uncle how to hack his competitor's website for details of their customers. HAHA!!

the last time czeeyong and i were at his place to fix his computer (well, i just hang around and be of no use whereas czeeyong does all the work), he had all this itty bitty pieces of paper of various sizes with funny letters and numbers on them. They don't mean anything at first glance so curiously I asked him what they were.

He grinned at me and just said "My secret codes"
