at times like these i miss perhentian.
i never quite properly talked about our trip. i'm almost grateful that there are no proper roads at all on the island, and if you wanted to get to another beach you had to hike your way there or rent a speedboat. i'm grateful for the peaceful giant windmills at the top of the hill which gave way to a magnificent view.

ignore the fuckthishillissosteep look in my eyes. i could really use some guiness then because it was hot as hell. oh ning got me that shirt
and my shorts were from my old jeans which i tore apart with a pair of scissors.

despite bitching about the journey for a long long time, the next day i went back up there by myself along with czeeyong's friend for company. i sat here, and looked upon this view for about an hour
i got to see a turtle really really up close, and even though i was up to my throat in near-vomit because of the bad weather, i'm glad i made the decision to jump into the ocean and chase mr.crush. the guides were super nice (maybe because i was probably the only malaysian girl at the resort and possibly the entire Long Beach) and personally dragged me over where the turtle was swimming away, quite oblivious to the specks of boats teeming with tourists at the surface. i could go on and on, but i never saw a turtle THAT BIG in real life before.. so it was really really awesome >.<

It was probably as wide as my arms ^^ One of czeeyong's friend had a camera which could work underwater so there were plenty of underwater shots. The guide borrowed his camera and dived down to the bottom of the ocean where he snapped this shot.

This is Lee, my favourite guide and the person who showed me the turtles! Also the person who would talk to me whenever czeeyong wasn't around =p I think this shot is so glamour
In the late afternoons, I usually laze on the beach with a book or float on my back in the sea, and at night, we lay on our backs and looked up at the stars.

the stars are really pretty
and if you are really patient, you can catch some shooting stars but they whizz by really fast if you're not paying attention. i didn't see any, but czeeyong and his friends saw a few during the whole trip

on one of the nights, pigs flew because czeeyong took me for some shisha (who'd have thought it possible) at a bar nearby on the beach. we were all baked by then. guy on the furthest left is one of the guides in the resort. lee passed out a few minutes later on the same mat because of alcohol overdose aha.

whilst snorkelling, we bumped into nemo! and his family. they were really really really tiny, and really cute.
this haha so funny pinch of the cheeks is czeeyong's favourite hobby

i snapped this picture of the sunset at the other side of the island using czeeyong's friend's camera. it was pretty hot but i think the sunset was worth it.
can i please please go back there now..
